LSOM Alumni & Friends Fund

Purpose

To assist deserving students of Limerick School of Music with their musical education.

How Donations Can Occur

  • Donors may send a cheque or postal order for any amount made payable to “LCETB” with a note confirming that it is for the LSOM Alumni & Friends Fund.
  • Donors can alternatively make an electronic transfer to the LCETB Bank Account marked for the LSOM Alumni & Friends Fund.

Who may apply?

A Parent/Guardian/Adult Learner at Limerick School of Music

Application Criteria to be considered for an award

  • Parent/Guardian/Learner in receipt of social welfare.
  • The applicant student has refugee status.
  • Clear evidence of economic hardship.
  • A student showing excellence or potential for same
  • A student who is showing great diligence combined with making a large contribution to LSOM activities.

Process for Award

An evaluation group consisting of the five members of the LSOM Management Team will oversee the distribution of the Fund. This evaluation group will meet four times a year to consider all applications and manage the distribution of the fund. Awards will be contingent on the funds available in the LSOM Alumni & Friends Fund account at any given time.

Appeal Process

If an applicant in unhappy with the outcome of their request for support they may write a letter of appeal to the evaluation group who will review the application.

Review Date These procedures will be reviewed annually by the LSOM Management Team
