The String Faculty provides a vibrant and exciting environment in which to learn, with courses tailored to meet the needs of each student. Students are accepted from 5 years of age for Cello. The Limerick School of Music provides cellos on loan to students as instruments can be an expensive investment.Priority for cello lessons is given to students who have completed the Gateway to Music Programme
Limerick School of Music is always eager to encourage young Cello players. These musicians will go on to become the powerhouse of many orchestras and ensembles. In addition to this the cello is a renowned solo instrument with a gorgeous sound than is hard to rival. Many of our students, both past and present, can regularly be seen performing at a national level.
In addition to participating in the school’s orchestras, cello students can be part of the dedicated Cello ensemble.
